Hygiene Operative

Revive are currently looking for a part-time Hygiene Operative working 20 hours per week who will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall hygiene of various areas at two facilities near Thurles, Ireland. The role involves maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, adhering to safety regulations, and using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning and Disinfection:

• Perform regular cleaning and disinfecting of floors, walls, restrooms, kitchens, and other common areas.

• Sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and tools according to established protocols.

• Ensure that all cleaning activities comply with health and safety regulations, as well as company standards.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain cleaning machines, such as floor scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers.

• Ensure cleaning equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or damages.

Waste Management:

• Dispose of waste materials in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.

• Ensure that bins are regularly emptied and cleaned.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor and maintain stock levels of cleaning supplies and materials.

• Report the need for new stock to the supervisor in a timely manner.

Health and Safety Compliance:

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning and safety.

• Adhere to infection control standards, especially in sensitive environments such as food eating and processing areas.

• Wear appropriate protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
